At Graben Construction, we have long incorporated “green” building methods that promote healthy living, protect the environment and lower energy costs. Using “smart” green building products such as Low-E impact glass windows, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, engineered structure systems, Icynene spray foam insulation, just to name a few, offers you assurance of a high efficiency and low energy home.

Geothermal systems have a positive impact on the environment since they burn no fossil fuel and operate on modest amount of electricity relying on the sun to heat the ground at the earth’s surface, rather than the earth’s core to heat it from below. Benefit to you is superior air comfort and dramatically reduced energy bills.

Graben Construction is the most highly experienced builder in our area building with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). ICF forms are produced from recycled materials that keep the air and moisture out and lower the potential for allergens and mold, meaning that homes are safer and healthier to live in. Standing up to hurricane winds from the Gulf of Mexico for up to 200 mph, and fire for up to four hours, provide peace of mind for those inside. The two layers of expanded polystyrene are held together by strong polypropylene ties spaced six inches on center, creating forms that range in width from 9 to 17 inches. Into this space, rebar is placed and concrete is poured to create a core suitable for any structure.
